Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ColorBlend collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you browse color palettes, save favorites, use the palette generator, or submit a palette. By using ColorBlend, you acknowledge the practices described below.

Information you provide

When you submit a palette, we receive the palette name, selected category, and color values you choose. Submitted palettes are stored for review and may be edited, approved, rejected, or removed by a moderator. If approved, the palette and its associated information become publicly visible.

The public palette submission form does not require you to provide a name, email address, account, or other direct personal identifier. Please do not place personal or confidential information in a palette name.

Saved collections

ColorBlend uses an anonymous browser identifier to remember palettes you like without requiring an account. Saved palette identifiers are associated with that anonymous identifier and may also be cached in browser local storage for reliability. You can remove individual palettes from your Collection or clear your browser’s site data at any time.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ColorBlend and its hosting infrastructure may process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and error or security logs. We may also process aggregate interaction information, such as palette likes, to operate popular-palette features.

How information is used

We use information to provide and maintain ColorBlend, display and moderate submitted palettes, remember your saved collection, calculate palette popularity, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, protect the service, understand general usage, and improve the website’s content and features.

Service providers and disclosure

ColorBlend relies on infrastructure and database providers to host the website, store palette records, and deliver the service. These providers may process technical data on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or maintain the security of ColorBlend.

We do not sell the personal information described in this policy. ColorBlend does not currently use submitted palette information for targeted advertising.

Data retention

Published palettes may remain available until they are removed by a moderator. Rejected submissions and moderation records may be retained for a reasonable period to prevent repeated abuse and maintain review history. Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations. Anonymous Collection records remain until you remove the palettes or the records are no longer needed to provide the feature.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for cross-border processing. Data-protection rights and standards can vary between jurisdictions.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can remove saved palettes from your Collection, clear ColorBlend data through your browser settings, and avoid submitting a palette. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information associated with you. Because public submissions do not require an account, we may need enough information to verify that a request relates to you.

Children’s privacy

ColorBlend is a general-audience design resource and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact the site owner through the contact method published on ColorBlend so the issue can be reviewed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. However, no website, database, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information as part of a palette.

Third-party links

ColorBlend may link to external websites or services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ColorBlend’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when material changes are published. Continued use of the service after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, use the contact method published on ColorBlend. Include enough detail to identify the palette or issue involved, but do not send passwords or other sensitive information.
